After she handed him the daily paper,

                               she makes herself a coffee cup,

out of habit than by heart.

In her head, she is a cappuccino cup in another flat…

                       After her man left for office,

                                     she bangs the kitchen door

and slips the secret key in her bag

not knowing the one who she thought had waited

has already changed his (dead)lock.
